Arriva North West, you’ve taught me so much over the years.

Indeed, you’ve been teaching me for years how to ride on Blackburn road when there are drivers such as yours who simply cannot be trusted with my safety. Here are some examples.

Bridge Street, passing Topp Way

In 2011 and 2012, you did these two dangerous things:

I do hope you can see the irony of that sticker on the back of your bus there. After the first of those incidents, you showed me what a crappy management attitude you have regarding road safety. So now, I ride in the centre of the lane all the way through that junction and beyond to stop you (and anyone else) doing it again:

Higher Bridge Street, passing Aldi

In 2012, you did this:

So now, I tend to move into a stronger position past that junction to stop you (and anyone else) from cutting me up there:

Blackburn Road, passing Halliwell Road

In 2010 and 2012, you did these two almost identical, very dangerous things:

So now I ignore the very badly designed cycle lane and go through that whole section in the centre of the lane to stop you (and anyone else) doing it again:

Bottom of Blackburn Road

In 2014 and 2015, you did these two aggressive and dangerous things:

After one of those incidents, you showed me that your management attitude is so bad that you even condone road rage against vulnerable road users. So now I stay in the centre of the lane for much longer to stop you (and anyone else) doing it again, and don’t be surprised if, when you try to use your buses to bully me out of your royal way, I simply tell you to fu … go forth and multiply:

I can only imagine your driver was angry there because I prevented him from cutting me up to stop for the passenger waiting at the bus stop just a few metres further on.

Thank you so much, Arriva.
